What is the difference between the Shadda and the Sikuun; it seems to me that they accomplish the same thing (in other words, it seems that the emphasize the letter that they accompany). So when do you use the Shadda and when do you use the Sikuun?

Hey brothers and sisters, greek guy learning arabic here. Professor really did a great job here. The language is so different yet he makes you capable of basic reading in a couple hours. amazing.

my favorite part is if anyone says it's wrong ... tell him "professor Ahmed @#M$VK#" said three of them. Correct.

I'm trying to learn the Arabic alphabet and out of dozens of videos this is the only one that works for me. Good teacher!!! But after about half an hour my brain overheats and smoke starts pouring out of my ears.
